Job Description

This role involves working insurance and patient credits, maintaining credit A/R at acceptable levels by prompt review and resolution of accounts. Responsibilities include thoroughly and timely working credit and PLB records in work queues, presenting unresolved concerns to the supervisor, and accurately documenting account activity. The successful candidate will also be responsible for analyzing and correcting patient accounts, identifying and updating various types of insurance entry information, and making suggestions to improve billing accuracy and collections.

Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate should have a high school diploma or equivalent, one-year minimum experience in healthcare accounting in a medical office, and experience with private billing and collections regulations. Proficiency in keyboarding (40 wpm) and accurate 10-key by touch are essential. Knowledge of health insurance plans, policies, and procedures is also required.

Benefits

Benefits-eligible employees accrue PTO and Personal Time based on hours worked and State worked, totaling 120 hours in the first year for full-time staff and 200 hours in the first year for full-time supervisors and above. Employees also enjoy up to six paid holidays per year, depending on schedule.
