Position Summary

The Retail Security Specialist plays a crucial role in safeguarding the store's assets against theft and loss. Collaborating closely with the District Security Manager, you will assist store management in the formulation and implementation of effective Loss Prevention strategies.

Your Key Responsibilities Include:
  • Conducting surveillance on the sales floor and utilizing CCTV systems to identify, monitor, and deter individuals from engaging in theft.
  • Ensuring compliance with all legal regulations and company policies regarding apprehensions, evidence preservation, and search procedures.
  • Preparing thorough and timely reports related to theft incidents, merchandise recoveries, and investigations.
  • Providing testimony in court as required in criminal or civil cases.
  • Enhancing store loss prevention awareness by participating in store meetings and training sessions.
  • Offering support across multiple store locations if necessary.
  • Investigating internal theft through various resources in collaboration with District Security Managers.

Ideal Candidate Qualifications:
  • At least 1 year of experience in asset protection or loss prevention within a retail setting.
  • Availability to work during peak retail hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to remain on the sales floor for the duration of the shift, with or without accommodations.
  • Compliance with all licensing requirements as mandated by local or state regulations.
  • Adherence to the company's dress code and policies outlined in the employee handbook.
