About the Role

The Senior Security Systems Specialist will oversee all facets of access control and IP camera systems deployed at client locations. This role requires the ability to independently install, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain electronic devices, power supplies, and network components.

Effective communication with the Field Supervisor is essential, as is presenting a knowledgeable and engaging demeanor to clients. The ideal candidate will be a proactive decision-maker, prioritizing the best interests of the project, the client, and Integrated Security Technologies.

Additionally, the Senior Security Systems Specialist must be adept at learning our device monitoring and management methodologies. Strong verbal and written communication skills are crucial for collaborating with subcontractors and clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install and service access control and IP camera systems in accordance with engineered specifications.
  • Demonstrate programming proficiency related to our product offerings.
  • Program, terminate, and commission a diverse range of access control products and platforms.
  • Identify and resolve issues that may hinder job productivity.
  • Complete all necessary documentation associated with job tickets.
  • Maintain a safe and organized working environment at all times.
  • Communicate all activities to the Project Manager or Field Supervisor promptly.
  • Assist Level I technicians as needed.
  • Ensure the upkeep and cleanliness of any company-provided vehicle.
  • Maintain a safe driving record and report any incidents to management immediately.
  • Participate in required product or safety training sessions.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Extensive experience in installation and service technician responsibilities.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of field installation experience in the security sector.
  • Certifications in Lenel/Software House access control are preferred.
  • Familiarity with American Dynamics, Genetec, and Exacq systems is advantageous.
  • Experience with door hardware installation, including strikes and magnetic locks.
  • Background in audio-visual technology and troubleshooting network switches.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineered drawings.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and clients.
  • A solid work ethic, a positive attitude, and a commitment to providing exceptional service.
  • Must possess a Master Electrician's License.
