Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Methodist Children's Hospital. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in our Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) and other pediatric areas.

Responsibilities
  • Provide respiratory care to pediatric patients, including ventilation, oxygen therapy, and airway management.
  • Conduct diagnostic tests, such as arterial blood gas (ABG) analysis, and interpret results.
  • Develop and implement individualized respiratory care plans for patients.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and hospital processes.
Requirements
  • 6 months to 1 year of experience in PICU or Level 3/Level 4 NICU.
  • Preferred skills: Nebulizer therapy, airway clearance, BiPAP, ventilator, HFNC, bronch assist, ABG.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
