Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at HCA Houston Med Ctr. As a critical care specialist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in our intensive care unit.

Certification Requirements
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) certification is required.
Job Responsibilities
  • Operate ventilators and other respiratory equipment to provide life-sustaining therapy to critically ill patients.
  • Perform bronchoscopies and other diagnostic procedures as needed.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
Work Environment
  • Work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a high level of patient acuity.
  • Interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members to provide excellent patient care.
  • Work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Requirements
  • Current RRT or CRT certification.
  • 1+ year of experience in critical care or respiratory therapy.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
