Overview:

We are in search of a distinguished leader to take on a critical role within our esteemed client. This position will be essential in defining and implementing our strategy in Immunology, providing direction in the management of classical complement-mediated autoimmune disorders throughout our product line. The Vice President will be instrumental in steering clinical and medical strategies from early-phase trials through to Proof-of-Concept studies and beyond, aiding in the submission and approval processes for drug candidates, as well as their commercialization. We are looking for a highly experienced professional with extensive knowledge in immunology and rheumatology, a solid history in drug development, and exceptional leadership capabilities committed to advancing groundbreaking therapies.

Key Responsibilities:

Clinical Development Oversight:

  • Oversee medical management for early-phase and Proof-of-Concept trials, ensuring thorough data analysis, effective site communication, and high-quality documentation.
  • Lead the development of clinical strategies and trial protocols for drug development initiatives.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to facilitate clinical trials, ensuring adherence to compliance standards and supporting medical monitoring functions.
  • Act as the representative for the Immunology division in external collaborations.

Strategic Leadership Contributions:

  • Engage in strategic planning and execution efforts.
  • Work closely with Research teams to incorporate drug discovery insights into development strategies.
  • Provide medical leadership for Key Opinion Leader engagement, Advisory Committee meetings, and regulatory strategy formulation.
  • Encourage innovation and differentiation through comprehensive data evaluation.

Cross-Functional Team Collaboration:

  • Ensure alignment across Research & Development, Translational Medicine, Regulatory Affairs, and commercial divisions.
  • Serve as a conduit between the Immunology team and executive leadership, delivering updates on portfolio advancements and strategic objectives.
  • Promote a culture centered on teamwork, innovation, and accountability.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in medicine or a related discipline; a Medical Degree is preferred, with specialized training in Immunology and Rheumatology.
  • A minimum of 15 years of experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology sectors, with a focus on Immunology and Rheumatology drug development.
  • Proven track record in leadership roles and the commercialization of Immunologic or Rheumatologic products.
  • In-depth understanding of immunologic diseases, drug development methodologies, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Demonstrated ability to formulate and implement strategic plans, innovate, and achieve results in fast-paced environments.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with experience in delivering complex scientific and clinical presentations.
  • Expertise in regulatory engagements and successful submission processes.
