POSITION OVERVIEW:
- This role includes 3 days of paid leave.
- The ESS will be present on all student attendance days throughout the academic year.
- The hourly compensation for this position is $20.00/hour.
- Offer instructional support and assistance to students and educational professionals.
- Help students develop organizational skills as instructed by the educator.
- Facilitate student engagement in activities designed and assigned by the educator.
- Oversee and assist students with various technological tools.
- Reinforce educational plans for students when necessary (504, IEP, GIEP, etc.).
- Document and report data for educational or behavioral purposes.
- Provide administrative support as required.
- Supervise students during all school-related events.
- Manage and maintain confidential student records and information.
- Assist with student assessments and oversee testing environments.
- Organize meetings as directed by the educator or supervisor.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by the classroom educator or supervisor.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
- Special Education Educational Support Specialist - A minimum of two years of post-secondary education (48 college credits).
- General Educational Support Specialist - High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in public education or working with school-aged children in a licensed or certified setting is preferred.
(Clearances must be current within 12 months)
- PA Child Abuse (Act 151) Clearance
- PA Criminal (Act 34) Clearance
- PA Department of Education FBI - Use code 1KG6XN
- TB Screening - current within 3 months
- Education Documentation - Diploma OR Official Transcripts
- 3 days of paid leave (prorated based on start date).
