About the Role:
As a Clinical Anesthesiology Specialist at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe administration of anesthetic agents and providing exceptional patient care. This opportunity is ideal for a skilled nurse anesthetist who wants to make a difference in the lives of cancer patients.

Salary: $200,000 - $270,000 per annum

Key Responsibilities:
  • Determine the appropriateness of pre-anesthesia examinations and coordinate with healthcare providers
  • Administer anesthetic agents and monitor physiological responses to maintain or stabilize the patient's condition
  • Provide resuscitative care and record pertinent information on patient records

Requirements:
  • Clinical licensure as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) from the Texas State Board of Nurse Examiners
  • Current State of Texas Professional Nursing license (RN) issued by the Texas Board of Nursing
  • Current State of Texas Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) license recognizing the certification for Advanced Practice Registered Nurse CRNA (APRN-CRNA)
  • Certification or recertification as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) issued by the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) issued by the American Heart Association (AHA)
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) issued by the American Heart Association (AHA)
