About the Job:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Pediatric Anesthesiology Specialist to join our team at UT Health Science Center. This role is a key position in providing top-notch anesthesia services to pediatric patients.

About the Role:

As a Pediatric Anesthesiology Specialist, you will play a vital part in ensuring the safe and effective delivery of anesthesia to pediatric patients with complex medical conditions. Your expertise will be crucial in monitoring patients' vital signs and bodily functions during medical or surgical procedures. You will work closely with the anesthesia team, including anesthesiologists, residents, and other healthcare professionals, to develop comprehensive care plans tailored to each patient's specific needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Administer anesthesia to pediatric patients under the supervision of attending anesthesiologists.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and bodily functions during medical or surgical procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with the anesthesia team to develop comprehensive care plans for each patient.
  • Collaborate with anesthesiologists to prepare and administer anesthetic agents.
  • Respond to emergency situations as needed.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A Master's degree in Nurse Anesthesia from an accredited program.
  • Current Texas licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN).
  • Certification as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) from the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists (AANA).
  • BLS and ACLS certification.
  • A minimum of 6 months of experience working in pediatric anesthesia is desirable.

Salary Information:

The estimated salary for this position is around $120,000-$150,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
