**Job Title:** Nurse Anesthetist Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Nurse Anesthetist to join our team at the UT Health Science Center. As a key member of our anesthesiology department, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our institution.

About You:

To be successful in this position, you will need to possess a Master's degree in Nurse Anesthesia and current certification from the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists. A minimum of 2 years of experience in a major medical center or trauma receiving hospital is also required. Your expertise in administering regional anesthesia techniques, including spinal and epidural blocks, is essential. Additionally, you should have experience with arterial lines, CVP, and PA lines, as well as proficiency in pressure monitoring and lab values interpretation.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and administer anesthetic agents to patients for medical and surgical procedures
  • Perform pre-anesthesia evaluations to select the most suitable anesthetic agent and plan anesthetic management
  • Monitor patients during surgeries to maintain homeostasis and prevent unnecessary injuries
  • Record anesthetic information on anesthesia charts for future reference and education purposes
  • Supervise nurse anesthesia students, paramedical, and medical students in clinical training
  • Respond to emergency situations and manage human resources activities within the department

Salary and Benefits:
