About the Job

MISUMI USA is a leading manufacturer and distributor of factory automation components, seeking a highly skilled Junior Systems Administrator to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for maintaining and supporting our network infrastructure, ensuring the highest level of uptime and data integrity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and monitor system configurations to ensure data integrity and highest possible uptime.
  • Support projects related to Cloud modernization, new product deployment, and security implementation.
  • Serve as a backup to the Network Manager, performing tasks such as patching servers, maintaining hypervisors/clusters, and Veeam backups.
  • Resolve trouble/change tickets and audit existing activity and alerts to provide a proactive approach to network management.
  • Maintain cloud products, including Intune, Office 365 with Exchange Online, AWS infrastructure, and security filtering services like Trustwave email filters and Microsoft Defender products.
  • Troubleshoot and assist users on any system/software/equipment on the network.
  • Work with the Service Desk team to optimize workstation management and deployment using modern methods.
  • Establish and maintain user, computer, and service accounts.
  • Provide after-hours system administration support, both onsite and to remote users as needed.
  • Provide Remote desktop support and profile management.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of routine system maintenance and security audit activities.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • 2+ years of related experience.
  • Understanding of Network protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP.
  • Understanding of Active Directory and Group Policies.
  • Understanding of Cloud Computing.
  • Understanding of hardware and software firewalls and network ports.
  • Understanding of workstation management/administration.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Detail-oriented.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
