About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Maintenance Planner to join our team at Central Arizona Project. As a key member of our Maintenance Planning Division, you will be responsible for planning and scheduling maintenance activities to ensure the efficient operation of our water conveyance system.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain long-range Master Maintenance Schedules to ensure optimal workforce productivity and minimize downtime
  • Coordinate with Water Operations, Plant Maintenance personnel, and Centralized Support groups to ensure effective planning and execution of maintenance activities
  • Analyze work orders and determine task sequence and methodology to optimize resource allocation
  • Manage workforce productivity through effective planning and coordination of system outages, manpower, materials, and equipment
  • Develop detailed operational outage plans and manage work order backlog to ensure timely completion of maintenance activities
Requirements
  • Related bachelor's degree plus three (3) years of work experience; or a related associate's degree plus five (5) years of work experience; or a high school diploma or equivalent plus seven (7) years of work experience as a journeyman, industrial electrician, mechanic, building trades craftsman, electronics technician, equipment operator, project engineer, or project manager in a related field
  • Good administrative, math, and communication skills; strong planning and organization skills; solid understanding of work order processes, priorities, and schedules
  • Ability to read shop drawings and prints; knowledge of and ability to use and apply standards and codes including OSHA, NEC, ASME, ANSI, and EPA regulations to maintenance work
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, MS Project (or other scheduling software), and Infor (or similar work management systems)
