Perkins Coie, a leading international law firm, is seeking an experienced Advertising Marketing & Promotions Associate or Counsel with at least seven years of relevant experience.

About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled professional to join our Advertising, Marketing & Promotions practice. The ideal candidate will have substantive experience in various areas of advertising law, consumer protection law, and marketing transactions, including:

  • Drafting and negotiating ad agency, influencer, celebrity endorsement, sponsorship, online media buying, and other marketing and promotion agreements.
  • Reviewing ad copy for false advertising, claim substantiation, IP, and right of publicity issues.
  • Counseling on contest and sweepstakes compliance.
  • Counseling on price advertising and recurring subscription programs.
  • Advising on loyalty/rewards programs.

While not required, experience with false advertising, unfair competition, and National Advertising Division dispute work would be welcome.

Requirements

Strong attention to detail and the ability to work well in a group are important characteristics. Successful candidates will have excellent academic credentials and outstanding legal writing and communication skills. Experience in a large or medium law firm setting is also preferred but not required.

We will consider a fully remote working arrangement for this role, but a hybrid working environment is preferred. Visits to the office will be required, and admission to the WA bar is preferred but not required.

Our Advertising, Marketing & Promotions practice advises businesses ranging from startups to top Fortune 500 companies in the retail, entertainment, gaming, software, internet, food and beverage, and advertising industries.

We help brands plan for and execute advertising, marketing, and promotional campaigns that comply with complex and rapidly-changing state, federal, and international laws.

We also defend companies accused by consumers, competitors, and regulatory agencies of violating these laws.

What We Offer

This position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, 401(k) plan, medical, dental, and vision insurance, personal medical and parental leave, up to ten paid Holidays, and family care benefits.

Compensation range: $295,000 to $420,000 annually. Compensation depends on qualifications and experience.
