About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Civil Engineering Intern to join our Public Infrastructure - Traffic team in our Fort Worth, TX office.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare preliminary analysis on a variety of technical tasks
  • Conduct project research, field work, observation, and preliminary design calculations
  • Take personal responsibility for the quality of tasks performed
  • Use CAD to prepare and check working drawings, details, layouts, and estimates
  • Perform routine analysis to check accuracy of data and work products
  • Assist in the preparation of exhibits, plot plans, lot fits, or other similar tasks by discipline
Requirements
  • Currently working towards completion of a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
  • Demonstrates willingness to accept new challenges and learn specialized field
  • Growing knowledge of profession as demonstrated by involvement in related professional organizations and professional development programs
  • Basic knowledge of the firm's policies, practices, and procedures
  • Basic knowledge of software required for position
  • Good organizational skills
  • Able to follow general directions and work with limited independence on basic computations
