Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Case Manager to join our team at Beacon Hill. As a Senior Case Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all case docketing, e-filing, and court operations for our law firm's Midtown Manhattan office.

Key Responsibilities
  • Case Docketing and Management: Oversee and manage all case docketing, ensuring timely and accurate updates in the litigation docket system.
  • E-Filing and Document Management: Maintain and update the docketing system with deadlines, court appearances, and case details, ensuring attorneys are informed. Handle all aspects of e-filing, including preparation, submission, and confirmation.
  • Court Operations and Communication: Liaise with court personnel to ensure smooth filing processes. Review and ensure quality control of other docketing staff's work.
  • Training and Guidance: Provide guidance to attorneys and staff on e-filing procedures, troubleshooting any issues. Train staff on docket and e-filing procedures to ensure effective management.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Advise attorneys on state and federal court rules, ensuring regulatory compliance.
Requirements
  • Experience: 8+ years of legal experience; 5+ years experience in a Managing Clerk's office.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Strong knowledge of New York state and federal court rules, procedures, and e-filing. Experience with docketing and case management software, particularly CompuLaw.
