Position Overview

We are in search of a Healthcare Support Coordinator to join our dedicated team. This role is integral to our outpatient mental health services, providing essential assistance to our primary care and psychiatric professionals while fostering holistic health and wellness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage with clients to ensure a supportive and safe environment.
  • Conduct assessments and maintain accurate documentation of client interactions.
  • Monitor and record vital signs and any changes in client health status.
  • Coordinate services related to psychiatric evaluations and well-being assessments.
  • Provide administrative support, including managing prescription requests and obtaining medical records.
  • Document all client interactions in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
  • Respond to inquiries regarding services and assist with scheduling appointments.

Work Schedule: Part-time, Monday to Thursday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Qualifications

Applicants should possess an Associate of Arts degree in a behavioral sciences field or have completed a Certified Medical Assistant program from an accredited institution. In lieu of an AA degree, candidates with an AA in any field and three years of administrative support experience in healthcare may be considered.

Preference will be given to those with prior medical assistant experience and those holding a Bachelor of Arts degree. Experience working with individuals facing mental health challenges is highly valued.

Certifications

National certification as a registered medical assistant is preferred.
