Accounts Payable Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated AP Specialist to join our growing team at Ascendo. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the smooth operation of our real estate portfolio by processing invoices, managing vendor relations, and maintaining accurate financial records.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process invoices related to real estate operations for accuracy and completeness.
  • Verify purchase orders and receiving reports for real estate properties.
  • Code invoices according to our company's real estate-specific chart of accounts.
  • Manage vendor relations for real estate vendors and inquire about any discrepancies.
  • Prepare and issue outgoing payments for real estate-related expenses.
  • Reconcile bank statements for accounts associated with real estate properties.
  • Maintain detailed records of all real estate-related AP transactions.
  • Assist with month-end closing procedures for real estate accounts.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts payable (AP) or a similar role.
  • Proven experience working in the real estate industry (a plus).
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and real estate accounting practices.
  • Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Yardi Voyager).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
