Position Overview This role involves the preparation, printing, labeling, and distribution of daily production tasks for both automated machinery and manual operations.

Job Responsibilities

This position is tasked with the precise preparation and timely processing of high-volume mailings. Duties include setting up ink-jet systems, inserting machines, box formers & closers, shrink wrap equipment, and printers. Ensure that adjustments are accurately made for varying sizes and thicknesses of materials utilized. Assist in the accurate preparation and completion of mailings for other departments as needed. Access the necessary software for specific tasks. Maintain all equipment by performing minor repairs and mechanical adjustments as required.

Position Requirements

A high school diploma or equivalent work experience is mandatory. A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a direct mail setting is preferred. Basic understanding of ink-jet and inserting machinery operation is essential. Familiarity with MS Windows is required. Ability to operate and maintain mailing equipment, including making minor repairs and adjustments. Must adhere to postal regulations regarding mailing and receiving presort discounts. A collaborative spirit is necessary within the department. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential for effective interaction with colleagues. Commitment to maintaining a safe and tidy work environment is expected. Additional duties may be assigned as necessary.

Physical Requirements

Capability to lift over 60 pounds. Ability to stand, bend, stoop, twist, and turn as needed.

Schedule Requirements

Monday to Friday: Day shift from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM (Availability for overtime and weekends may be required) The Nielsen Company is dedicated to empowering your best efforts to shape a better media future.
