Kelemen 10 is a medical-surgical unit designed to accommodate patients with diverse needs and medical conditions. Both North and South 10 units are equipped with Telemetry capabilities for patient monitoring. Each unit can house 36 patients, with additional hallway areas bringing the total capacity to a maximum of 76 patients.
South 10 features a 12-bed Intermediate Care Unit integrated within the 36-bed unit. The INCU typically accommodates no more than 12 patients, staffed by critically care-trained RNs who cater to the needs of patients, including those on ventilators.
Additionally, South 10 includes 2 negative pressure isolation rooms with an anteroom, utilized as necessary for specific isolation requirements.
This process engages patients in their care and fosters collaboration among team members to ensure optimal care and appropriate discharge planning to home or other facilities.
A pharmacist is available on the unit to assist RNs, helping to prevent delays in patient care.
Short Description:
The Registered Nurse serves as a professional caregiver, responsible for a designated group of patients during a specific timeframe. This role involves supervising and delivering care utilizing the nursing process, including the therapeutic use of self.
Maintains open communication with internal stakeholders and supervisors.
Delivers exceptional customer service while interacting effectively with all levels of staff, management, and physicians.

Performs additional duties as required.
Education Requirements:
Graduate of an NLN accredited School of Nursing
License/Certification Requirements:
Current NJ-RN License (Registered Nurse);
Current American Heart Association BLS Certification (Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers);
Specific specialties may necessitate advanced certification (i.e., ACLS, NALS, PALS)
