Overview:
Kelemen 10 is a medical-surgical unit designed to cater to patients with diverse needs and health conditions. Both North and South 10 are equipped with Telemetry capabilities for patient monitoring. Each unit accommodates 36 patients, with additional hallway areas allowing for a total capacity of 76 patients.

South 10 features a 12-bed Intermediate Care Unit integrated within the 36-bed unit, typically not exceeding 12 patients. This unit is staffed with critically care-trained RNs who are equipped to manage the needs of ventilated patients.


Additionally, South 10 includes 2 negative pressure isolation rooms with an anteroom, utilized as necessary for specific isolation requirements.

We conduct multidisciplinary rounds from Monday to Friday,

involving patients in their care and fostering collaboration among team members to ensure optimal care and appropriate discharge planning.

A pharmacist is available on the unit to assist RNs, ensuring timely care delivery for all patients.


Short Description:


The Registered Nurse serves as a professional caregiver, taking responsibility and accountability for a designated group of patients over a specified timeframe. This role involves supervising and delivering care to patients through the nursing process, including the therapeutic use of self.

Compliance with established policies and procedures is essential.

Effective communication with internal stakeholders and supervisors is expected.

Providing outstanding customer service while engaging positively with all levels of staff, management, and physicians is crucial.

Adherence to Cooper's core values is required.

Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

Education Requirements:
Graduate of an NLN accredited School of Nursing

License/Certification Requirements:
Current NJ-RN License (Registered Nurse);

Current American Heart Association BLS Certification (Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers);

Advanced certification may be required for certain specialties (i.e., ACLS, NALS, PALS)

Special Requirements:
Basic Life Support NJ Registered Nurse 7a-7p with rotation
