At Sysco, we're looking for a skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team. This role is responsible for ensuring timely and cost-effective procurement of products for our customers.

About the Role

This position involves coordinating with suppliers to source high-quality products while meeting company standards and performance goals. You will be responsible for managing purchase orders, reviewing inventory levels, and confirming POs for accuracy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Procure goods and services from approved vendors, adhering to company policies and procedures
  • Manage purchase orders, ensuring accurate pricing, quantity, freight, and delivery dates
  • Conduct daily reports to identify potential stockouts and over-allocations, taking corrective action as needed
  • Collaborate with internal departments to optimize inventory management, achieve best-in-class inventory levels, and minimize returns
  • Update vendor and item information in the system, maintaining accurate pricing, freight, brackets, and ship points
  • Communicate effectively with sales teams to ensure seamless customer service
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent; HSD preferred
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in purchasing or food distribution; 5 years' experience preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, with excellent organizational and follow-up skills
  • AS400 experience a plus
Salary and Benefits

We offer an estimated annual salary range of $55,000 - $75,000, depending on location and experience. Our comprehensive benefits package includes medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) matching.
