Rigging Supervisor

Position Title: SIC Rigging Foreman

Role Overview: We are seeking a skilled Rigging Foreman to oversee a project in DeSoto, KS. This role involves managing the setup and operation of hoisting equipment for the placement of structural steel components.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and configure hoisting equipment for the elevation and positioning of structural steel.
• Secure steel components to hoisting cables using chains, ropes, or cables.
• Communicate with operators to facilitate the lifting and placement of steel members.
• Guide steel members into position using tag lines.
• Adjust steel members into approximate positions while supported by hoisting devices.
• Utilize tools such as turnbuckles, jacks, and crowbars to finalize positioning of steel members.
• Ensure alignment of holes in steel members for bolting or welding.
• Check vertical and horizontal alignment using levels and plumb bobs.
• Temporarily secure aligned members until permanent fastening is completed.
• Modify steel components as necessary.
• Identify and respond to hazardous conditions effectively.
• Maintain regular attendance and be prepared for potential travel.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Completion of all required safety and job training.
• Adherence to safety and quality protocols established by the company.

Physical and Job Site Requirements:

• Ability to utilize personal protective equipment and lift up to fifty pounds.
• Work environment may include offices, warehouses, and outdoor sites with exposure to various elements.
• Must be capable of accessing all areas of the job site, including elevated and confined spaces.
• Physical stamina is required to perform essential job functions safely.
• Proficiency in operating necessary tools and equipment.
• Capability to stand for extended periods and work in various physical positions.
