Leave Management Specialist

The Occupational Leave Specialist is responsible for managing all associate leaves of absence, providing subject matter expertise on Company Health & Welfare plans, and ensuring compliance with relevant federal and state employment laws.
Key Responsibilities- Leave Management: Administer all aspects of leave and workers' compensation programs, including approving and denying leave cases based on relevant medical information.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with applicable federal and state employment laws, including the Family and Medical Leave Act, Americans with Disabilities Act, and collective bargaining agreements.
- Case Management: Conduct investigations into reported workers' compensation claims, coordinate medical information, and ensure HIPAA and Employee Privacy guidelines are closely monitored.
- Reporting and Analysis: Maintain and report out KPIs and SLAs on a monthly basis, taking actions to improve performance.
- Expertise: Demonstrate expert-level knowledge of HR programs, policies, benefit plans, and provide guidance to internal stakeholders.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in business, human resources, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience: Proven experience in leave management, human resources, or a related field.
- Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
