Position Significance:
As a vital member of an innovative beverage manufacturing startup, the Beverage Production Specialist will play an essential role in managing production machinery associated with blending, filling, processing, and sterilization operations.
In this position, the Beverage Production Specialist will be responsible for executing all tasks related to the operation of diverse production machinery; overseeing production workflows and line activities; preparing and maintaining batch documentation and records; sanitizing and cleaning machinery; conducting product inspections and preventative maintenance on equipment; operating material handling machinery; loading and unloading raw materials; measuring and staging ingredients for processing; and utilizing a production tracking system to monitor production metrics and related data.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and operate production line machinery to ensure compliance with food safety standards, product quality, and customer specifications.
- Prepare, operate, and document bulk mixtures for blending processes, heat treatment operations, controlled weighing of batch components, and any other necessary systems and documentation required for operation.
- Perform manual cleaning, clean-in-place (CIP) procedures, heat treatment system maintenance, cleaning-out-of-place (COP) tasks, routine housekeeping, and other sanitation duties as directed by management.
- Receive and unload bulk raw materials, cleaning chemicals, and manage the staging of ingredients using powered industrial forklifts.
- Complete daily batch documentation with a thorough understanding of its implications for operations.
- Conduct basic mechanical troubleshooting and collaborate with the Maintenance Team to enhance manufacturing efficiency.
- Execute changeovers by clearing lines and accurately preparing the next product's packaging and coding.
- Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures and Good Manufacturing Practices.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Basic mathematical and calculation skills are necessary.
Experience & Skills:
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment is required.
- Experience in operating machinery within an aseptic food and beverage manufacturing setting is highly preferred.
- Understanding of Clean-in-Place (CIP) processes is essential.
- Strong oral and written communication skills are required.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
- Capability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and overtime.
- Must be able to stand, walk, kneel, and bend throughout the entire shift.
