Job Overview

Under the supervision of a Tax Program Supervisor within the Federal/State & Special Audit Section, your main duty is to deliver expert guidance and quality assurance for team members to guarantee a high standard of precision and adherence to tax regulations, procedures, and alignment with departmental policies.

By applying established tax regulations, policies, and procedures, you will evaluate amended federal information submitted by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and/or the taxpayer, making necessary adjustments to rectify accounts. You will also contribute to the training and development of staff, pinpoint processing issues, and propose solutions to procedural and/or programmatic challenges.

Work Environment

This role is eligible for remote work within California, contingent upon departmental guidelines and operational requirements. The Franchise Tax Board mandates a minimum in-office presence of two days per week for all roles, including those eligible for telecommuting.
