Job Description and Duties

Under the general direction of the Information Technology Manager I, the Information Technology Specialist II works as an independent technical specialist lead on the most complex software solutions, software conversions/integrations, and systems maintenance. The incumbent participates in all stages of the Systems Development Life Cycle, to create and maintain interfaces, databases, and applications in support of the CROS Solution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, optimize, and apply software solutions to meet business needs.
  • Conduct design sessions and provide technical expertise to support all aspects of the CROS and related systems.
  • Act as team lead for the CROS functional areas, mentor team members, and advise management.
  • Assist in formulating IT strategy and planning of legislative changes, system enhancements, and solution requests.
Working Conditions

The position is located in a high-rise building and requires working in a standard office environment. The incumbent will be required to be in a stationary position for extended periods of time and use a personal computer, office equipment, and/or telephone daily.

Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Experience: 2+ years of experience in software development, systems maintenance, and technical leadership.
  • Skills: Proficiency in programming languages, software development methodologies, and database management systems.
