Key Responsibilities:
  • Register patients accurately and efficiently, verifying eligibility and collecting co-payments and patient balances.
  • Provide positive customer service in person and over the phone, responding to patient inquiries and resolving issues in a timely manner.
  • Schedule appointments efficiently, searching for patients using two identifiers to reduce errors and avoid creating duplicate accounts.
  • Coordinate the receipt and transfer of patient medical records in a HIPAA-compliant manner.
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Two years of experience in a physician's office or healthcare setting.
  • Excellent customer service skills and basic office skills.
  • CPT and diagnosis coding experience is a plus.
