Patient Access Representative

Join our team at Truman Medical Centers and contribute to delivering exceptional patient care. As a Patient Access Representative I, you will play a vital role in ensuring seamless registration and access to our healthcare services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform outpatient and inpatient registration functions, providing accurate and timely information to patients and families.
- Ensure patients meet financial requirements and provide excellent customer service.
- Communicate effectively with service delivery areas to maximize patient flow and customer satisfaction.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience in customer service or successful completion of the UH Patient Access Rep/Patient Scheduler Apprentice Program.
- Strong communication and keyboarding skills.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret clinical or business account information, financial and legal documents.
- Ability to respond to sensitive inquiries or complaints from guests, regulatory agencies, staff, and members of the business community.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Two years' experience with patient contact.
- Knowledge of basic medical terminology.
