Position Overview:


Joe Lunghamer Chevrolet Inc. is a prominent automotive dealership located in Waterford Township, Michigan, and we are in search of a dedicated and skilled individual to become part of our team as a Chevrolet Lube and Maintenance Technician.

This is a full-time, hourly role within the automotive sector that provides competitive pay and a comprehensive benefits package.

As a Lube and Maintenance Technician, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the effective maintenance and servicing of Chevrolet vehicles in a vibrant and fast-paced environment.

This position is perfect for those who possess a passion for automobiles and a solid technical foundation. We are open to training individuals who may have limited automotive experience, provided they demonstrate strong character. Compensation & Benefits:
The pay for this role ranges from $14 to $16 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.

Additionally, we have a spiff program that enhances your hourly wage based on components sold by service advisors that require repair or replacement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct routine maintenance on Chevrolet vehicles (and occasionally other makes), including oil changes, tire rotations, and filter replacements.
  • Perform visual inspections of vehicles for leaks, belts, brakes, air/cabin filters, wiper blades, and more.
  • Communicate clearly and accurately with service advisors regarding vehicle maintenance and repair updates.
  • Maintain accurate service records and track service schedules.
  • Stay informed about technological advancements and training on new Chevrolet models.
  • Follow all safety protocols and regulations in the workplace.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 12 years of experience as an automotive technician or mechanic (or values such as Duty, Punctuality, Honesty, Respect, Teamwork, and Willingness to Learn).
  • ASE certification is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Familiarity with Chevrolet vehicles and their systems is advantageous.
  • Strong technical and diagnostic skills.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
  • Attention to detail and precision.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain a clean driving record.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
