Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Building Maintenance Technician to join our team at Quality Dairy. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety, maintenance, and security of our facilities in compliance with OSHA and MIOSHA standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on buildings, equipment, and facilities
  • Install, maintain, and repair all equipment in Quality Dairy facilities
  • Conduct roof repairs and installations, parking lot repairs, and parking lot striping
  • Perform electrical and lighting repairs, floor repairs, and painting
  • Repair and maintain plumbing systems, overhead doors, and walls
  • Operate tools and machinery safely and efficiently
  • Perform seasonal changeovers of facilities and maintain accurate records
  • Document all purchases and maintain a clean and organized work area
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Electrical knowledge and welding experience
  • General computer skills and ability to express ideas clearly
  • 3 years minimum experience in maintenance preferred
  • Forklift certification within 6 months of employment
  • Strong organizational skills and knowledge of safe lifting procedures
  • Acceptable driving record and knowledge of plumbing and piping
Working Conditions
  • Exposure to temperature and noise extremes
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and stand, walk, bend, twist, climb, lift, and pull repetitively
  • Some irregular hours, including late nights and early mornings
  • Holiday and weekend work
