Previous experience in customer service and basic automotive knowledge is advantageous but not mandatory.

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday from 7:00 AM to 2:00 PM, with every third Saturday from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

Position Title: Automotive Service Attendant

ROLE SUMMARY

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES include the following tasks. Other responsibilities may be assigned.

Main Duties:

Maintain a visible presence on the Service Floor, particularly near the Cobble Stone area when not engaged in porter responsibilities.

Be attentive to customer vehicles arriving at doors #1 and #2, and promptly open the door. The attendant is expected to guide guests into the Service Drive, introduce themselves, and warmly greet customers, assuring them that a Service Advisor will assist them shortly. (All interactions should be accompanied by a friendly demeanor.)

Ensure the Service Floor remains clear of vehicles, keeping all cars on the Service Drive positioned to accommodate incoming guests. Write the parking space number on the key tag after parking each vehicle.

Timely transport of keys and repair orders to Group Leaders is essential.

Upon request, pull vehicles up for guests after service work is completed.

Express gratitude to customers for their business and wish them a pleasant day or evening. (All interactions should be accompanied by a friendly demeanor.)

Remove all floor mats, seat covers, and tags from vehicles. Check for any items left by technicians and inspect for grease, fingerprints, and other marks.

Before moving a vehicle, ensure all ice and snow are thoroughly cleared from the windows. Maintain a clear Service Floor at all times.

Additional Duties:

Shovel and salt entrances and walkways as necessary. Maintain a supply of salt in a 5-gallon bucket in high-traffic areas.

Assist with the pickup and drop-off of guest vehicles as requested.

Refuel rental vehicles when needed, utilizing the designated rental gas card.

Assist in washing rental vehicles when requested.

Monitor inventory levels and notify the appropriate personnel when supplies such as floor mats or seat covers are running low.

Cleaning Responsibilities:

Daily cleaning of the Service floor using a floor machine.

Empty trash bins, including office wastebaskets, on a daily basis. Break down cardboard boxes for disposal.

Daily emptying of oil filter bins from the technician service area.

Sweep and mop hallways every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Clean window sills and openings regularly.

Weekly cleaning of windows and window sills in service offices.

Daily cleaning of grease from walls and service doors (both customer and employee).

Weekly cleaning of the tool room.

Daily maintenance of outside areas, including emptying ashtrays and picking up litter.

Regular vacuuming of walk areas and cleaning of advisor workstations.

OTHER DUTIES may be assigned as needed.

SUPERVISORY ROLE

This position does not include supervisory responsibilities.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

No prior experience or training is required.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to communicate effectively in one-on-one and small group situations with customers and other employees.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations and apply these skills in practical situations.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense to carry out simple instructions and deal with standardized situations.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Valid Driver's License is required.
