Epilepsy Alliance of Florida (EAFLA) is a nonprofit organization committed to delivering essential support to individuals with healthcare needs across Florida. As a Healthcare Enrollment Specialist with EAFLA, you will be instrumental in community outreach, educating the public, and assisting individuals through the enrollment process. This role offers flexible working hours, with some evenings and weekends being ideal. EAFLA will provide comprehensive training to ensure navigators successfully complete the required certification.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain strong partnerships with Community-Based Organizations (CBOs) and Faith-Based Organizations (FBOs).
  • Educate and facilitate enrollment into Qualified Health Plans via the Federal Marketplace.
  • Organize outreach initiatives and educational events to inform consumers about the Health Insurance Marketplace.
  • Conduct Health Literacy workshops for consumers.
  • Offer both in-person and virtual assistance to clients.
  • Deliver information in a culturally and linguistically appropriate manner.
  • Adhere to agency, federal, and state policies, including timely reporting and data entry.
  • Represent the agency positively at all times.

Qualifications:

  • Dedication to serving underserved populations.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Strong cultural competence and experience working with diverse communities.
  • Basic proficiency in computer applications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; public speaking experience is advantageous.
  • Fluency in additional languages, such as Creole and Spanish, is preferred.
  • Previous experience in health insurance, the Healthcare Marketplace, or enrollment assistance is desirable.
  • Experience collaborating with faith-based or community organizations is a plus.
  • Proven track record of achieving performance goals in a data-driven environment is preferred.

Compensation: $25.00 per hour
