Overview

As a Preschool Educator, you will play a vital role in nurturing and guiding the growth and development of young children in our educational program. Your responsibilities will include creating a safe and engaging learning environment that fosters the emotional, social, and cognitive development of preschool-aged children.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and implement age-appropriate educational activities and lesson plans that promote holistic development in areas such as science, math, art, language, and physical skills.
- Lead and supervise a team of Associate Teachers and classroom assistants, ensuring effective collaboration and support in the learning environment.
- Engage with children in a positive and nurturing manner, providing guidance and support during activities.
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to monitor children's progress and development, and communicate findings with parents during conferences.
- Develop and implement strategies for conflict resolution and problem-solving among children.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and organized classroom environment.
- Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks, adhering to dietary guidelines and promoting healthy eating habits.
- Oversee outdoor and indoor play activities, ensuring safety and enjoyment for all children.
- Maintain accurate records of children's progress and development, as well as classroom activities.

Qualifications

- An Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field, along with relevant experience in a childcare setting.
- Eligibility for a Child Development Teacher Permit issued by the appropriate credentialing authority.
- Completion of CPR and First Aid training, with a current certification.
- Strong knowledge of early childhood education practices and principles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
