Position Overview:
Solano Community College is seeking a dynamic and passionate Instructor to deliver educational content for various courses within the Advanced Manufacturing and Industrial Technology Programs.
Role Expectations:
The successful candidate will work under the guidance of the Dean of the School of Applied Technology & Business Education. Responsibilities include:
- Delivering instruction in alignment with established course outlines.
- Advising students on program requirements and academic pathways.
- Preparing and assessing assignments and examinations.
- Maintaining accurate student attendance and academic records.
- Collaborating with fellow instructors to enhance curriculum and teaching materials.
Desired Qualifications:
Candidates should possess experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Mechanical systems
- Electronics
- Electromechanical systems
- Industrial controls
- Fluid power systems
- Automation technology
- CNC machining
Teaching experience and familiarity with instructional methodologies, curriculum design, and outreach strategies are highly valued.
Minimum Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution and two years of relevant occupational experience are required. Alternatively, an Associate's degree with six years of applicable experience will be considered.
Preferred Qualifications:
A degree in Industrial Technology, Manufacturing, Engineering, or a related field, along with industry certifications in relevant areas.
