Operations Director for Industrial Growth

This is a senior leadership opportunity to drive the growth and success of a major player in the wine, spirits, or beverage manufacturing industry. As the Director of Operations, you will play a pivotal role in spearheading strategic initiatives to enhance our industrial infrastructure and maintain market relevance. Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, you will collaborate to implement key projects aimed at optimizing our operational efficiency and achieving long-term objectives in Capsules & Closures.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in manufacturing and project management, with a strong analytical and communication skillset. Experience in the wine, spirits, or beverage manufacturing industry is highly desirable. In addition to leading cross-functional teams, analyzing data to drive informed decisions, and overseeing various departments, you will also be responsible for championing a culture of Continuous Improvement (CI) and fostering a mindset of productivity enhancement and waste reduction.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading and managing the Continuous Improvement, Maintenance, NPD (New Product Development), and FTS (Full-Time Support) teams to drive technological advancements and establish new operational sites in the USA.
  • Collaborating closely with manufacturing, purchasing, and sales departments to align strategies and achieve company objectives.
  • Driving efficiency improvements and waste reduction by implementing continuous improvement initiatives and optimizing maintenance processes.
  • Championing a culture of Continuous Improvement (CI) by fostering a mindset of productivity enhancement and waste reduction, utilizing Lean Manufacturing principles.
  • Identifying and justifying investments and improvements through thorough data analysis, ensuring alignment with company goals.
  • Overseeing the NPD and Design teams to optimize product specifications and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Facilitating effective processes for the closure department, including coordination between operations, engineering, and technology teams.
  • Supervising production managers to optimize production schedules, maximize output, and ensure quality standards are met.
  • Ensuring compliance with environmental, health, and safety standards, working closely with the EHS team.
  • Collaborating with the management team to develop plans for capital expenditure, process improvements, and HR strategies to support growth objectives.

The salary for this role is estimated to be around $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. This is a fully onsite role with travel required between various facilities. Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in manufacturing and project management roles.
  • Experience in the wine, spirits, or beverage manufacturing industry a plus.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
  • Proactive mindset with the ability to adapt quickly and take initiative.
