The Operations team plays a crucial role in ensuring the seamless functioning of our company.

GENERAL FUNCTION

The Maintenance Supervisor oversees and directs resources to implement both preventative and reactive maintenance on optical manufacturing machinery, aiming to optimize equipment availability.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Prioritizes individual safety by adhering to the plant's safety and environmental standards, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations.
  • Utilizes CMMS data, reports, and visual aids to identify potential issues, enhance technician productivity, and support quality improvements that minimize equipment breakage.
  • Manages resources to maintain accurate work order statuses, set priorities, and ensure efficient execution of tasks. Collaborates closely with Production Managers and Supervisors to regularly identify and address priorities.
  • Enhances equipment availability through root cause analysis and engages technicians to implement successful corrective actions.
  • Evaluates technicians' technical skills to identify growth opportunities and coordinates training and education to bridge skill gaps.
  • Collaborates with planning teams to refine work procedures and time estimates for planned and preventative maintenance tasks.
  • Responds effectively to maintenance priorities and technician issues during off-shift and off-day hours.
  • Monitors technician performance to meet departmental, facility, or network KPIs, providing feedback, coaching, or corrective measures to drive improvement.
  • Supervises technicians to ensure accurate reporting of time and attendance as well as labor.
  • Works directly with inventory control to update minimum/maximum quantities, manage rebuilds, and identify surplus or obsolete parts.
  • Conducts process audits as directed.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or an Associate's degree with relevant experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience.
  • At least 3 years of maintenance experience in an industrial manufacturing setting.
  • Proven electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic skills with the ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and building plans.
  • Knowledgeable in workplace safety protocols, including LOTO, SDS, PPE, and standard safe working practices.
  • Experience with various industrial equipment, including battery-powered lifts, conveyors, sorters, and power distribution systems.
  • Familiarity with HVAC, plumbing, lighting, fire protection systems, and building repair.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 75 pounds and working at heights.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including days, afternoons, nights, and weekends.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Certification as a Maintenance Reliability Professional.
  • Professional training or certification in areas such as arc flash, first aid, or CPR.
  • Experience in a Maintenance Supervisory, Team Lead, or Foreman role.
