**Position Summary**
The Electromechanical Maintenance Specialist is responsible for executing both routine and unscheduled tasks within the Maintenance Division to ensure that operational standards for safety and quality are consistently met. This role requires compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, as well as adherence to company policies, with a strong emphasis on workplace safety and Good Manufacturing Practices.
**Work Schedule**
2-2-3 Schedule, 4pm-4am
**Key Responsibilities**
- Diagnoses, repairs, and maintains various machinery and equipment, including mixers, conveyors, compressors, and pumps.
- Diagnoses, repairs, or replaces control devices such as switches, photo eyes, proximity sensors, pushbuttons, contactors, and motor starters.
- Diagnoses, repairs, or replaces components of ovens, including burners, valves, bearings, and scrapers.
- Handles repairs or replacements of pneumatic systems and basic electrical power components.
- Diagnoses, repairs, or replaces PLC-based control systems.
- Performs work order repairs, inspections, adjustments, as well as preventative and predictive maintenance tasks.
- Sets up and operates metalworking tools such as hand tools, welders, drill presses, and grinders.
- Monitors and collaborates with external contractors on-site.
- Works alongside production, refrigeration, and warehouse teams to troubleshoot and resolve operational and process challenges.
- Communicates essential information to department management on a daily basis.
- Collaborates with maintenance and refrigeration technicians to ensure comprehensive shift coverage through cross-training.
- Assists in the development of standard operating procedures and duty cycles for maintenance and repair of process and packaging equipment.
- Interprets plans, specifications, schematics, and operating and maintenance manuals for relevant systems.
- Maintains the facility's boiler and hot water systems.
- Participates in safety, health, and environmental initiatives.
**Education and Training Requirements**

- High School diploma
*Preferred:*
- Technical College/PLC Certification Course
- Electrical/mechanical experience, preferably in a related industry
- Experience in a manufacturing and packaging environment
- Working knowledge of PLCs
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish
