Job Overview

This position has primary responsibility for executing strategic development activities for practice integration of EVO/Visian ICL products. Ideal candidate will live in a large metropolitan area within 45 minutes from an international airport. Territory includes: major metropolitan areas in the southeastern United States.

This position will drive tactical business development programs in partnership with the Sales team to build a positive and accurate company and product profile among the refractive surgical specialist and treatment coordinator community. Major focus of this work will be to interface with refractive practice coordinators, surgeons, referral networks, and the Sales and Marketing Team. Success is defined as achieving key business metrics for each program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work toward full implementation of ICL business development tools across identified accounts and their referral networks for the purposes of increasing EVO/Visian ICL awareness and consideration.
  • Partner with the practices and the sales/marketing team to develop and execute activities and programs that support the integration of EVO/Visian ICL products in refractive practices. This will involve program ideation, development, execution, and follow-up support.
  • Support the integration of ICL digital tools, messages, and toolkits into the practices' website, social media, and other digital media. This will involve working with, among others, STAAR's digital marketing Team and their colleagues.
  • Coordinate activities with Sales Team, Marketing, Clinical Applications, as appropriate for seamless coordination and account support. Strong teamwork and communication skills are important.
  • Provide assistance for practitioners and treatment coordinators with product training and business analysis to build knowledge and confidence, and to reinforce benefits for practice integration of EVO/Visian ICL for the practice and patients.
  • Assist in observing/determining market trends as they pertain to the refractive practice environment, assess and report on competitive products and promotional activities, and provide new ideas for either new products or new business management and Marketing programs when indicated.
  • Travels within the territory over 50%.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree preferably in healthcare, technology or business-related field.
  • MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years work experience in a clinical or health care field.
  • 3+ years sales or marketing experience is required. Practice management consulting in refractive industry is a plus.
  • A successful track record closing technical/medical sales also a plus.
  • Commercial skill set that includes: drive and self-motivation, strong interpersonal and communication skills, the ability to plan, organize, and deliver, and the capacity to work autonomously.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to effectively communicate with Health Care Professionals.
  • Ability to adapt to different individuals at all levels, results driven, organized, professional manner.
