The role of the Upscale Beverage Specialist involves providing outstanding service to all patrons, ensuring adherence to our high standards of hospitality. You will be responsible for crafting both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to established recipes, while delivering top-notch food and drink in a welcoming environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of cocktail preparation and mixology.
  • Enhance the guest experience by offering personalized beverage recommendations.
  • Possess extensive knowledge of various liquors and wines.
  • Serve guests efficiently and courteously, following established service protocols.
  • Utilize proper cocktail-making techniques as instructed.
  • Ensure all necessary tools are available for smooth shift operations.
  • Expertly pair wines with menu items.
  • Be prepared to serve full meals, including shared plates.
  • Assist with food running when necessary, managing warm or hot plates.
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of menu items, including preparation times and ingredients.
  • Handle payment transactions accurately and responsibly.
  • Follow best practices for the safe and responsible serving of alcohol.
  • Stay informed about daily specials and menu items.
  • Communicate effectively with management regarding any operational issues.
  • Adhere to cash handling procedures and account for discrepancies.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, following daily checklists.
  • Clean glassware, utensils, and bar equipment as needed.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management to enhance guest satisfaction.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior experience in hospitality is essential.
  • A minimum of two years of bartending experience in a high-volume environment is preferred.
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in using technology, such as tablets and point-of-sale systems.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift 50 pounds or more.
  • Capability to stand or sit for extended periods.
  • Clear communication skills.
  • Vision corrected to normal range.
  • Willingness to work long hours as required.

Mental Requirements:

  • Ability to make quick, sound judgments.
  • Manage multiple tasks effectively while meeting deadlines.
  • Work independently and collaboratively, providing guidance when necessary.
