Position Overview:
The Guest Services Supervisor plays a crucial role in overseeing the Front Office operations, ensuring that all guests receive exceptional service throughout their stay. This position requires a commitment to upholding the highest standards of hospitality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspire, mentor, and guide front desk team members.
  • Ensure adherence to daily operational briefings.
  • Assist in the recruitment process for front desk personnel.
  • Foster team spirit and ensure comprehensive training for front desk staff.
  • Participate in the Manager on Duty program as scheduled.
  • Review staff attendance for payroll accuracy and submit timely reports to the finance department.
  • Create staff schedules based on anticipated business levels and budgetary constraints.
  • Maintain effective communication and professional relationships with management, team members, and other departments.
  • Ensure all guests are warmly greeted and welcomed.
  • Utilize communication devices effectively while on duty, ensuring proper etiquette is maintained.
  • Oversee lobby management during peak periods and as required.
  • Organize and manage high volumes of guest arrivals and departures.
  • Encourage participation in weekly team meetings.
  • Direct the front desk team to align with established service excellence standards.
  • Address interdepartmental issues promptly, utilizing effective management techniques.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 4 years of progressive experience in hospitality or a related sector; or a 4-year degree with at least 1 year of relevant experience; or a 2-year degree with 2 or more years of related experience.
  • Previous supervisory experience is essential.
  • Proficiency in computer applications, including spreadsheets and word processing.
  • A consistently warm and approachable demeanor when interacting with guests and team members.
