Job Description

JobsRUs is looking to hire a Facilities Operations Specialist. This role is essential for maintaining a safe and efficient working environment.

Shift Details:

4:00 PM to 12:00 AM


Key Responsibilities:

The Facilities Operations Specialist will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including:

  1. Performing general cleaning and maintenance duties to ensure a clean and safe facility.
  2. Conducting outdoor maintenance, including landscaping and grounds upkeep.
  3. Maintaining knowledge of cleaning supplies and chemicals, particularly hazardous materials.
  4. Ensuring all equipment is properly cleaned and stored after use.
  5. Communicating with management regarding major repairs or enhancements needed for building systems.
  6. Ordering necessary supplies and equipment for cleaning and maintenance tasks.

Additional Duties May Include:
  • Executing cleaning tasks such as sanitation of restrooms, waste removal, and thorough cleaning of various surfaces.
  • Understanding and adhering to cleaning protocols for different areas.
  • Sorting and disposing of solid and recyclable waste appropriately.
  • Following standard operating procedures and regulatory guidelines.
  • Reporting maintenance issues, safety concerns, and other deficiencies.
  • Assisting with office relocations and setups.
  • Installing and repairing facility structures, including painting and door maintenance.
  • Responding to urgent maintenance requests as necessary.
  • Conducting inventory tracking and storage in offsite warehouses.
  • Performing building audits to identify maintenance needs.

Education:

A High School diploma or equivalent is required. An Associate's degree or equivalent is preferred.

Physical Demands:

This position requires full use of hands and the ability to stand and walk for extended periods, averaging 5-10 miles daily. The role may involve moderate to heavy lifting, exceeding 50 pounds, and the ability to frequently move over 100 pounds using carts or dollies. Specific vision requirements include close vision, color vision, and depth perception. Overtime and weekend hours may be necessary.
