Position Overview:
We are looking for a meticulous and committed Logistics Coordinator to become a part of our dynamic team at WIKA Instruments. This role is essential for facilitating the smooth flow of materials and finished products within our operations, ensuring we meet our production goals and maintain exceptional customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and regulate inventory levels to guarantee sufficient materials for production.
- Conduct periodic inventory checks and resolve any discrepancies.
- Maintain precise inventory records within our ERP system.
- Coordinate the reception of incoming materials, confirming quantities and quality.
- Prepare and manage outgoing shipments, ensuring correct labeling and documentation.
- Organize and optimize warehouse space for effective storage and retrieval of goods.
- Safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment.
- Enforce safety standards and protocols within the warehouse environment.
- Collaborate with production teams to ensure timely material availability.
- Perform packaging to safeguard products during transportation.
- Inspect labeling to verify documentation and product information.
- Execute transactions in the ERP system to finalize shipping processes.
- Manage shipping orders through freight forwarders and transport services.
- Complete necessary documentation for international trade and customs compliance.
- Coordinate shipping methods and special instructions with the sales team.
- Support procurement and quality returns through receiving functions.
- Assist in picking, stocking, and other shipping-related tasks as needed.
- Adjust inventory counts for raw material movements.
- Tag and label raw materials and components for certification and traceability.
- Perform additional duties as required.
Qualifications:
- Preferred college degree.
- Forklift certification is a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
- Strong business writing skills.
- Experience with shipping carriers such as UPS and FedEx.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Familiarity with shipping processes, procedures, and software.
- Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Compensation: Starting at $18.00 per hour
