Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Director of Contract Management to join our team at Supernus Pharmaceuticals. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for leading operational activities, including rebates, chargebacks, government reporting, contract writing, and process approvals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead operational activities, including rebates, chargebacks, government reporting, contract writing, and process approvals.
  • Provide contracting expertise across multiple segments, including commercial, Medicaid, and Medicare Part D.
  • Create effective processes and controls to track contract terms, supporting efficient operations and ensuring implementation of contract strategies.
  • Develop and negotiate managed care agreement terms and conditions.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including Finance, Marketing, Sales Operations, Medical Affairs, Legal, and other groups, with a primary focus on compliance, forecasting, and optimizing contract performance.
  • Monitor and report on contract effectiveness related to assigned accounts, utilizing pre- and post-deal modeling.
  • Develop contract performance metrics, including assessment of market share, Rx volume growth tracking, and profitability.
  • Measure the impact of payer contracts versus corporate financial operating plans.
  • Develop a deep understanding of competitive market conditions affecting pricing for marketed products.
  • Interpret the impacts of evolving market conditions and make recommendations on pricing and contract strategies related to managed care, reimbursement, and government reporting requirements.
  • Primary direct interface with National Account Management on contract development.
  • Develop analytical tools to calculate the impact of Price Transparency Laws on in-line portfolio and pipeline products.
  • Work collaboratively with Legal and Compliance to interpret price transparency laws related to potential pricing activity.
  • Develop and maintain SOPs and other documentation to ensure compliance with all federal and state price transparency laws.
  • Present to senior leadership the impact of price action scenarios on Transparency Law reporting requirements.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree (Master's degree preferred)
  • 10+ years of related experience, with at least 5+ years of pharmaceutical industry experience
  • Deep understanding and expertise in U.S. market access dynamics
  • Ability to influence without authority
  • Strong analytical skills, including problem-solving, forecasting, contract development, and financial modeling
  • Demonstrated negotiation and relationship-building skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including a strong focus on customer service
What We Offer

We offer a competitive compensation package that reflects your experiences and contributions. The expected salary range for fully qualified candidates applying for this role is $210,000 to $230,000. This range is what the Company reasonably expects to offer for the position and is not reflective of the full compensation scale of the role. This range may be modified in the future. An individual's salary within the range is based on multiple factors, including education, relevant experience, knowledge, length of industry experience, and organizational needs.

Base salary is one part of the overall compensation package, which includes the opportunity to participate in employee stock purchase programs and performance-based bonus programs.
