We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Aquatic Safety Specialist to join our team at the YMCA. As an Aquatic Safety Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety of members and participants in and around our aquatic facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Protecting the Safety of Members and Participants: Ensure the safety of members and participants in and around aquatic facilities by enforcing policies and program standards.
- Providing Excellent Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to members and participants, ensuring a positive experience at our facilities.
- Emergency Response: Respond to emergency situations in a timely and effective manner, using your training and expertise to ensure the safety of all individuals involved.
- Pool Operations: Assist with the operation of our pools, including opening and closing procedures, water testing, and equipment maintenance.
- Training and Development: Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities to maintain and improve your skills and knowledge in aquatic safety and emergency response.
Requirements:
- Age: Must be at least 18 years old.
- Certifications: Current YMCA or Red Cross Lifeguard Certification, CPR PRO/AED, First Aid, and O2 certifications.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience: Previous experience in aquatic safety and emergency response preferred.
Working Conditions:
This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, respond to emergency situations, and work in a team setting. The successful candidate will be required to pass a background check and provide proof of certifications.
