Aquatics Recreation Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Aquatics Recreation Specialist to join our team at the City of San Diego, California.

Job Summary

The Aquatics Recreation Specialist will be responsible for coordinating, implementing, and evaluating department-wide aquatic programs, as well as assisting in the development of new programs and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and implement aquatic programs, including swim lessons, water aerobics, and other recreational activities
  • Assist in the development of new programs and services, including volunteer management and payroll coordination
  • Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness, making recommendations for improvement
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless delivery of services
Requirements

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Experience in aquatic program coordination and management
