Key Responsibilities and QualificationsThe Certified Respiratory Therapist is responsible for coordinating and delivering high-quality, patient-focused respiratory care, adhering to departmental requirements and the standards of practice for the relevant state and specialty. As an integral member of the patient care team, the Respiratory Therapist conducts various diagnostic tests and therapeutic procedures, as well as monitors patients on both invasive and noninvasive mechanical ventilation.
Qualifications:
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification required within 30 days of employment.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification required within 30 days of employment.
- PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification required within 30 days of employment.
- State certification as a Respiratory Therapy Technician.
- Associate Degree or completion of a Vocational School program.
