Responsibilities and Qualifications

The Certified Respiratory Therapist is responsible for coordinating and delivering high-quality, patient-centered respiratory care. This includes performing diagnostic tests and therapeutic procedures, as well as monitoring patients on both invasive and noninvasive mechanical ventilation.

Qualifications:

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification required within 30 days of employment.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification required within 30 days of employment.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification required within 30 days of employment.
  • State certification as a Respiratory Therapy Technician.
  • Associate Degree or completion of a Vocational School program.
