About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Central Sterilization Technician to join our team at Southcoast Health System, Inc.

Key Responsibilities
  • Decontaminate surgical instruments and endoscopes to ensure proper sterilization and safety.
  • Prepare, sterilize, and package surgical instruments for use in various medical procedures.
  • Assemble case carts for surgical procedures, ensuring all necessary equipment is readily available.
  • Decontaminate equipment as assigned and distribute medical and surgical supplies to support the Central Processing Department.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records of sterilization and equipment management processes.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) certification required within 1 year of acceptance.
  • Working knowledge of sterilization procedures, equipment management, and case cart assembly preferred.
  • Computer experience required, with proficiency in MSM and Meditech systems preferred.
  • Excellent communication, record-keeping, and documentation skills essential.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with high accuracy and attention to detail.
