About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Addictions Counselor to join our team at Resources for Human Development. As a member of our interdisciplinary team, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality care to individuals struggling with addiction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individual and group counseling sessions to patients
  • Maintain a caseload of 35+ patients and ensure timely documentation of clinical chart notes
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide holistic care and support
  • Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans, including crisis intervention and aftercare planning
  • Facilitate specialty groups and provide education on health promotion, disease prevention, and behavior change counseling
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field (Master's preferred)
  • At least 1+ years of experience in the drug and alcohol field, with a strong understanding of behavioral health care and social determinants of health
  • Current PA State certification or license (or willingness to obtain following hire)
  • Completion of 8 hours of Buprenorphine training program (can be completed post-hire)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as a team member
