Job Title: Therapist

Job Summary:
Resources for Human Development (RHD) is seeking a Therapist for its Family House Norristown program in Norristown, PA. The ideal candidate will provide individual, group, and family therapies to adults using evidence-based practices in addiction-substance use disorders, mental health diagnosis, and other areas as required by the program.

Responsibilities:
• Conduct intake assessments, including recommendations for treatment.
• Provide individual, group, and family therapies to people with mental health and substance abuse issues.
• Maintain an active caseload, engaging individuals in ongoing treatment, and tracking system for treatment plans and other required documents to meet program funder guidelines and program goals.
• Participate in clinical group meetings regarding ongoing treatment goals, progress, and discharge as needed.

Requirements:
• 1 year of clinical experience in a health or human service agency, preferably in a drug and alcohol setting.
• A Master's Degree or above from an accredited college with a major in chemical dependency, psychology, social work, counseling, nursing (with a clinical specialty in the human services), or other related field which includes a practicum in a health or human service agency, preferably in a drug and alcohol setting.
• Bilingual English/Spanish candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.

About the Program:
Family House Norristown is a 9-bed residential treatment facility for pregnant women and women with children that are experiencing mental illness and chemical dependence. The program addresses drug/alcohol addiction, mental illness, life skills, trauma, and parenting skills, as well as prevention and intervention for the children. Family House Norristown is one of only a few programs nationwide that works with mother and child in a residential treatment setting.
